A contract opportunity is now open for a skilled educator to serve as a co-teacher for math in a high school setting near Phoenix, AZ. This full-time position runs from August 3 through May 21, 2027, working exclusively onsite. You’ll be collaborating within a dynamic classroom, supporting the academic growth of students in a specialized learning environment.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active Arizona Standard Secondary Teaching License required
- Current Special Education (SPED) licensure mandated
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Card
- Proven background in teaching math within a special education setting
- Familiarity with collaborative (co-teaching) instructional models
- Strong classroom management skills and adaptability
- Ability to support diverse learners and implement individualized instructional strategies
Key Responsibilities:
- Co-teach math alongside another educator in a designated classroom
- Develop and modify lesson plans to meet the individualized needs of students
- Provide support, accommodations, and differentiated instruction for learners with varying abilities
- Track student progress and contribute to Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goals
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning
- Communicate regularly with staff, families, and related service professionals
