Position: Travel or Charge Nurse
Location: Lewiston, Maine
Department: Operating Room/Surgery
Available Shifts: Day and Night
Compensation: Gross pay ranging from $1,657 to $2,297 weekly, translating to an hourly rate of $41.44 to $57.43.
Assignment Duration: 12 weeks

- Oversee operations in the operating room and manage nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to regulations and hospital policies.
- Handle staffing, scheduling, and daily assignments effectively.
- Supervise, mentor, and support the development and performance of staff.
- Assist with performance management and human resources-related tasks.
- Monitor supplies, equipment, and overall department readiness.
- Coordinate surgical services, patient flow, and transitions in care.
- Address patient care issues and escalate concerns through the proper channels.
- Engage with patients and families to foster a positive experience.
- Provide direct patient care as necessary to uphold staffing and care standards.
- Valid and current state RN License
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- At least one year of experience as a staff nurse in an acute care hospital or emergency department setting
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (AHA) upon hire and maintain
- Required previous supervisory experience
- One to two years of supervisory experience in an acute care hospital surgical operating room setting is required
- Competency in Sedation Monitoring upon hire and maintain
