Position Overview

We are seeking a Vascular Surgeon to become a vital part of our team at the Louis A Johnson Clarksburg VAMC. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform open and endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) surgical repairs.
  • Conduct dialysis access procedures.
  • Engage in diagnostic and interventional angiography, including mesenteric and peripheral vascular interventions.
  • Execute lower extremity bypass surgeries.
  • Carry out open and endovascular carotid surgeries.
  • Supervise and teach surgical residents.
  • Provide consultations in both outpatient clinic settings and inpatient wards.
  • Oversee initial evaluations, comprehensive workups, history and physical examinations, and admissions for vascular surgery patients as necessary.
  • Participate in various committees.
Work Schedule

The work schedule is typically Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, though it may be adjusted based on the needs of the service or medical center. On-call duties may also be required.

  • Contract Details: No physician employment contract required. Eligible for the Physician Contract Buyout Program, which allows for the buyout of service contracts in exchange for employment at certain rural facilities.
