Education/Experience

Minimum Required:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma.
  • \n
\n

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • \n
  • Working knowledge of encoding system and Excel.
  • \n
  • Previous Coding experience.
  • \n
\n

License/Certification

Minimum Required:

  • Valid NYS RN licensure or eligible.
  • \n
\n

Preferred:

  • CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) ‐ AHIMA
  • \n
  • CIC (Certified Inpatient Coder)‐AAPC

  • CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist)‐ACDIS
