Special Education Teacher - Thornton, Colorado

Key Qualifications:

• Active Colorado teaching license with Special Education Generalist endorsement for ages 5–21
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school setting preferred
• Solid understanding of affective needs and emotional/behavioral interventions for elementary-age students
• Ability to adapt instruction and maintain clear communication with multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to complete a district contractor packet promptly as part of the credentialing process

Role Highlights:

• Serve one elementary campus, focusing on students with affective challenges from kindergarten through fifth grade
• Guide students through individualized plans, supporting academic, behavioral, and emotional growth
• Collaborate with other educators, administration, and families to optimize student outcomes
• Develop and implement accommodations and modifications within the classroom environment
• Document progress and maintain compliance with IEP requirements and district standards

This contract runs from ASAP through October 2nd, with a 37.5-hour workweek onsite. You will directly impact a single school's SPED caseload, providing consistency and expertise in a focused setting.
