Job Description
Make an impact supporting students’ communication skills in a dynamic, school-based contract role. This rewarding assignment is located near Pearland, TX, providing service to multiple locations within a large school district committed to fostering inclusive learning environments. You’ll work on-site, collaborating with a dedicated team to deliver services across a diverse caseload of 60 students. The contract runs from your start date through May 21, 2027, ensuring a stable, long-term role and the opportunity to build strong relationships with staff and students alike.
Desired skills and qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Current state SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Demonstrated experience in school settings preferred
- Ability to manage and prioritize a moderately sized caseload
- Comfortable traveling between multiple sites as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration abilities for working with educators, families, and other specialists
Primary responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech-language assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEPs
- Provide direct therapy services to students with varied communication needs
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation for compliance and progress tracking
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and staff trainings
- Consult with teachers and families to support carryover of skills in classroom and home environments
