Job Description

This contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students while collaborating with staff across an entire district. You’ll oversee nursing services at five schools, working closely with educators, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a healthy environment for all.
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Public Health Nursing license
- School Nurse License (issued by the Board of Teaching)
- Current CPR and BLS certifications
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric settings preferred
- Ability to travel between school sites within the district
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Commitment to collaborative, student-centered care
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead health initiatives and manage care for students districtwide
- Provide direct nursing services, including medication administration, first aid, and emergency response
- Create and implement health care plans for students with chronic or complex medical needs
- Serve as a liaison between families, school staff, and community resources
- Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records
- Educate staff and students on health topics and preventative care
- Support compliance with state and federal health regulations within the district
This is a full-time, onsite contract role for the upcoming academic year (August 17, 2026 through May 28, 2027), with a 35-hour workweek. You’ll join a supportive district community focused on student success.
