Desired Qualifications:• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy• Valid and current Occupational Therapist license in Virginia or eligibility• Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams• Strong organizational abilities and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment• Commitment to providing individualized and evidence-based interventions
Key Responsibilities:• Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students’ needs within the educational context• Develop and implement individualized and group therapy plans based on assessment results and student goals• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ participation and success in school routines and activities• Document progress, prepare reports, and maintain required records in accordance with school and state guidelines• Provide training and support to staff regarding strategies and accommodations for students• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the overall development of students’ learning environments
