Location: Greensboro, NC
Schedule: 3-5 Days per Week (Contract Assignment)
Potential for Permanent Hire
We are currently seeking an experienced Infusion Pharmacist to support a growing pharmacy operation in Greensboro, North Carolina. This contract assignment offers consistent weekly hours, immediate start potential, and the opportunity to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
The ideal pharmacist will bring recent infusion or home infusion experience, strong sterile compounding knowledge, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. This opportunity is well suited for professionals who thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable managing both clinical and operational responsibilities within an infusion pharmacy setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and authorize medication orders for infusion therapies
- Oversee the preparation, dispensing, and quality assurance of sterile compounded medications
- Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with USP <797> and USP <800> standards
- Provide clinical guidance and drug information to pharmacy staff, patients, and healthcare providers
- Monitor medication therapy for safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare teams to maintain an efficient workflow
- Maintain complete and accurate patient records and documentation
- Support quality improvement initiatives and adherence to company policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
- Recent experience in infusion pharmacy or home infusion required
- 1+ year consistent sterile compounding experience required
- Thorough knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> guidelines
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-focused environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Additional Information
- Initial coverage is expected to be approximately 3-5 days per week, with additional dates confirmed as needed
- Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities are not required during the contract period
- Candidates must be willing to become Pharmacist-in-Charge if converted to a permanent employee
- Temp-to-perm opportunity available based on performance and business need
