Job Description

This opportunity is located near Smithville, GA, and offers the chance to work with either elementary or high school students, providing tailored support where it’s needed most.
You’ll collaborate with committed educators and families to meet the diverse needs of your assigned caseload, develop individualized education plans, and foster an inclusive classroom environment. The role is scheduled to begin August 3, 2026, and will conclude May 27, 2027. With a workweek of 35–37.5 hours over five days, you can expect a consistent schedule with a pay rate of $38 per hour.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Active special education teaching certification in Georgia required
- Experience working with elementary or high school students preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads and adapt instruction to various learning needs
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to students according to their IEPs
- Maintain accurate records and track student progress
- Work closely with support staff, families, and administrators to achieve student growth goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and other required professional development
