Advanced Rhinology and Anterior Skull Base Surgery Fellowship

Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group
Loma Linda, CA, US Full Time

Job Description

Job Description
Fellowship Opportunity in Facial Plastic Surgery & Advanced Rhinologic Surgery

The Department of Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery at our organization in Southern California is inviting applications for a one-year fellowship in Facial Plastic Surgery and Advanced Rhinologic Surgery. This program offers a comprehensive, high-volume academic referral practice with a primary focus on nasal surgery, and we highly encourage participation in mission electives.

Our department is staffed by four full-time, fellowship-trained Rhinologic and Skull Base surgeons, alongside three facial plastic surgeons. The fellowship will provide extensive training in nasal surgery, including high-volume endoscopic sinus procedures, anterior skull base surgeries, and selected reconstructive rhinoplasty cases. Additionally, training will encompass both nasal and facial trauma, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience. While there is an opportunity for broad training in both Facial Plastic and Advanced Rhinology, priority will be given to reconstructive cases over cosmetic and clinic-based procedures.

Fellow Responsibilities
  • Assist faculty with surgical cases at our institution.
  • Select cases to create a balanced, fellow-directed learning experience.
  • Engage in intraoperative teaching for residents.
  • Participate in the Multidisciplinary Skull Base Tumor Board.
  • Utilize standardized curricula for reading and learning opportunities.

The starting salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $104,000, based on years of experience and/or faculty rank. This figure represents the base compensation and does not include variable compensation or additional productivity incentives, which are governed by departmental compensation plans. Further details regarding compensation will be discussed during the recruitment process.
