Position Overview

The Gynecologist will offer comprehensive women's health services in both outpatient and surgical environments. Responsibilities include preventive care, diagnosing and managing gynecologic conditions, and performing surgical procedures in the operating room.

This role emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes throughout the care continuum. Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Care:
  • Provide routine gynecologic services, including annual exams, screenings, and preventive care.
  • Diagnose and manage conditions such as menstrual disorders, infections, pelvic pain, and menopause-related issues.
  • Conduct in-office procedures like Pap smears, colposcopy, biopsies, and IUD insertions/removals.
  • Create and implement personalized treatment plans, including medication management and lifestyle advice.
  • Educate patients on reproductive health, family planning, and preventive measures.
  • Accurately document all patient interactions in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Surgical & Procedural Care:
  • Perform gynecologic surgeries in the operating room, including hysterectomy, laparoscopy, D&C, hysteroscopy, and treatments for abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts.
  • Conduct thorough pre-operative evaluations, including surgical planning and risk assessments.
  • Provide post-operative care, including follow-up visits and complication management.
  • Participate in surgical call coverage as needed.
  • Collaborate with anesthesia and perioperative teams to ensure safe surgical practices.
  • Maintain surgical competency and meet privileging requirements.
• Patient Experience:
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care with clear communication.
  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere for all patients.
  • Ensure timely access to care and smooth patient flow.
  • Address patient inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Collaboration & Care Coordination:
  • Work closely with primary care providers and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Collaborate with nursing and support staff to enhance clinic operations.
  • Facilitate referrals for advanced or surgical care as necessary.
• Quality & Compliance:
  • Adhere to clinical guidelines, surgical safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure accurate coding, billing, and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN).
• Active, unrestricted medical license (state-specific).
• DEA license (if applicable).
• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency program.

Eligibility Requirements

• Employees regularly scheduled for at least 20 hours per week.
