Title: Procurement Specialist

Business Line: 05+ months contract

Work Location: Verona : WI

Shift: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Payrate: $35-38/hr on W2.

Description:

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Business, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management

Or

• High School diploma/GED & 4+ years equivalent experience in scheduling, planning or purchasing.

Work Experience

Minimum Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with direct purchasing requirements

• 3+ Procurement or purchasing function using an MRP and/or ERP systems.

• 4+ years experience analyzing data using SAP and Microsoft Office

Preferred Requirements:

• Certification ASCM CPIM, CSCP or equivalent

• Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies

• Strong analytical abilities with problem solving techniques, unconditional commitment to teamwork and communication.

• Ability to follow ISO and cGMP standards and utilize quality management systems.

• Ability to drive initiatives with cross functional teams and stakeholders.

•Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, IF)

Job specific Competencies & Skills

• Develop and maintain purchasing schedules, ensuring alignment with production schedule, timelines and milestones.

• Collaborate with schedulers, suppliers, and new product introduction teams to gather necessary information to drive on time purchasing and delivery of materials.

• Monitor schedule, orders and project progress and adjust to accommodate changes or delays to ensure on-time delivery.

• Work closely with supplier quality and quality control to ensure timely set up and release of materials to support on-time production starts.

• Identify potential procurement or purchasing challenges and propose and implement solutions to mitigate risk.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding procurement updates and changes.

• Assist to identify vendors that will meet the quality, safety, and financial requirements of the site and implement as an approved source of supply

• Review and evaluate procured materials to ensure sufficient stock while maintaining inventory goals and overall schedule adherence. Develop and deliver forecasts as required.

• Review and maintain critical procurement master data to drive procurement processes including but not limited to source list, info records, purchase requestions/orders, and sales orders.

• Support and drive sourcing efforts at the site level including but not limited to obtaining information from internal teams or driving trials of sourced materials.

• Support training and operating procedure development and updates.

• Utilize quality management systems to document changes, deviations and corrections.

• Host and attend meetings with internal and external teams to drive delivery and provide clarity on status of purchasing activities.

• Anticipate procurement risks as the result of onboarding new projects and work to mitigate.

• Miscellaneous duties and tasks assigned.
