Play a crucial role in supporting a preschool student’s health and well-being during the school day as a dedicated part-time Registered Nurse. This unique contract opportunity involves working closely with a young learner who has complex medical needs, including a G-tube, tracheostomy, and ventilator. Your expertise will ensure the student’s safety and help facilitate an engaging school experience.

Schedule & Setting:

  • Assignment runs from August 18, 2026, to May 28, 2027.
  • Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 12:30 PM – 4:00 PM.
  • The role begins and ends at the student’s home; accompany the student on the bus to and from school.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois is required.
  • Documented experience managing G-tube, tracheostomy care, and ventilators.
  • Prior critical care experience strongly preferred to confidently handle emergencies.
  • School nursing experience is a plus.
  • Must provide valid RN license/certification and an up-to-date resume with your application.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver attentive, 1:1 nursing care for a preschool student through the school day and transport.
  • Monitor the student’s condition, administering necessary medical interventions and communicating promptly with the care team.
  • Collaborate with school personnel and family to support a positive school experience.
  • Ensure and maintain strict adherence to healthcare and safety protocols at all times.
