Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based Occupational Therapist, engaging with students in grades K-12 across 2-3 school sites near Sunnyvale, CA. From August 10, 2026, through June 4, 2027, you'll make an impact with a manageable caseload of 35-40 students, supporting their growth and independence throughout the academic year. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist license for California
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based settings strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP development and participation, with hands-on knowledge of Siras or AbleSpace systems a plus
  • Ability to adapt therapy strategies for a diverse K-12 population
  • Strong multitasking, organization, and communication skills
  • Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services as outlined in students’ IEPs, targeting academic and life skills challenges
  • Complete comprehensive assessments, progress reports, and updated IEP documentation using Siras or AbleSpace
  • Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to customize therapy interventions and strategies
  • Establish rapport with students with a variety of needs and backgrounds, adjusting approaches to suit different learning and developmental stages
  • Effectively manage your schedule and caseload, prioritizing the needs of 35-40 students across 2-3 sites
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning
