School-Based Physical Therapist - Morton, PA
Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the school community by supporting students as a contract physical therapist. This opportunity provides the chance to work closely with early childhood and school-age populations and contribute to their educational and physical development. Assignments will be split between an early intervention program (full-time, working with young children in classroom settings) and school-aged students with low incidence disabilities (4 days per week).
Key Qualifications & Skills:
- Active physical therapy license in Pennsylvania
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working with diverse student needs, including early childhood and low incidence populations
- Ability to adapt treatment plans to classroom environments
- Organized and able to manage documentation efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to students with IEPs
- Collaborate with special educators, classroom staff, and families to facilitate student participation and progress
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and monitor progress toward goals
- Support students in both individual and group settings
- Maintain up-to-date records and communicate clearly with the educational team
- Travel between Aston and Broomall classroom locations as needed
