Special Education Teacher - La Quinta, CA

This full-time contract opportunity runs through the end of June, working 40 hours per week. The role begins in September following board approval and focuses on ensuring smooth processing and compliance within Medi-Cal programs, rather than teaching responsibilities.

Key qualifications and desired experience:

• Previous experience managing and processing Medi-Cal requests
• Familiarity with Medicaid procedures and time survey verification
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable collaborating with staff to ensure timely submission of required documentation
• Ability to meet monthly with Medi-Cal representatives for updates and compliance checks
• Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred to facilitate communication

Primary responsibilities:

• Process and track Medi-Cal requests for the school district
• Monitor random time surveys from Medicaid, verify with staff and ensure accurate, timely submissions
• Serve as a point of contact for district staff regarding Medi-Cal processes and documentation
• Attend monthly meetings to review timekeeping and compliance with Medi-Cal guidelines
• Maintain up-to-date records and facilitate communication between district personnel and Medi-Cal representatives
