Make a difference as a contract Special Education Teacher supporting children in the Morton and Broomall PA area. This exciting opportunity involves working as an itinerant teacher, serving students with special education needs in various community preschools. You'll be part of a dedicated team, with plenty of guidance and training provided to help you succeed in your role.

This position offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00am–3:30pm, totaling 35 hours per week. With a caseload of approximately 30 preschool-aged students, you’ll have the unique chance to build meaningful connections with children and provide targeted interventions in inclusive preschool settings.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Pennsylvania certification in PK-4 and/or Special Education (Emergency permits are not eligible)
  • Experience or strong interest in working with preschoolers with special needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel between community preschools within the designated area
  • Flexibility and organizational skills to effectively manage an itinerant caseload

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to children in community preschool settings
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
  • Collaborate with preschool staff, families, and related service providers
  • Monitor progress, maintain documentation, and participate in team meetings
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive environment for all students
