Position Overview:

This role involves executing specialized imaging tasks, including angiography, intricate vascular and non-vascular procedures, as well as neuro-interventional and therapeutic techniques. The individual will also provide assistance to the Radiologist/PA. Registration in both Radiography and Interventional Radiography is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and position patients while accurately selecting anatomical and technical parameters.
  • Administer contrast media and medications in accordance with established practices and relevant regulations.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, reporting any unusual activity. Suggest updates or improvements to protocols as necessary.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with standards set by regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain a state of alertness and operate safely at all times.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education:

  • Completion of a Radiology Technology program.

Experience:

  • No prior experience is necessary.
Physical Demands:
  • Continuous standing and walking.
  • Regular use of vision and depth perception for both near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) distances.
  • Frequent communication through hearing and speech.
  • Ability to hear body sounds and alarms, as well as detect malfunctioning equipment.
  • Regular lifting, carrying, and pushing/pulling of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent patient handling.
  • Regular reaching, gripping, and data entry tasks.
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing between 25-50 lbs.
  • Occasional color vision tasks.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and repetitive movements of legs and arms.
  • Rarely kneeling or sitting.

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ARRT-VI Vascular Interventional Radiographer - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Radiologic Technologists - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
  • Or Radiologic Technologists – Temporary Accreditation - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)

For Missouri and Oklahoma:

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ARRT-VI Vascular Interventional Radiographer - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • ARRT-R Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

For Wisconsin:

  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ARRT-VI Vascular Interventional Radiographer - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
