Special Education Teacher in Beaufort, SC

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming academic year. Two positions are available, each offering opportunities to make a positive impact in different age groups. The assignments will be located onsite, with the new school year beginning August 3, 2026, and concluding May 28, 2027. Both roles require a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification in South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with special needs students in elementary, early childhood, or high school settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development and progress monitoring
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and students
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans tailored to diverse learners
• Manage and document IEP goals, progress, and accommodations
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Foster a classroom environment conducive to engagement and growth
• Communicate regularly with families to ensure student success
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and other team activities
