Key Qualifications:
- Current North Carolina School Psychologist license required
- Must hold School Psychologist certification as mandated by the state of North Carolina
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Ability to effectively support students from varied cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- Strong collaboration, communication, and consultation skills with both staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct cognitive, academic, and behavioral assessments to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to promote positive educational outcomes for all students
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and evidence-based interventions tailored to student needs
- Take part in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student supports
- Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies that ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment for every student
- Maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
