School Occupational Therapist - Oakland, California

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current California OT license and registration
• Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage caseload and documentation efficiently
• Passion for enabling student independence and participation

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional skills within the educational environment
• Develop individualized intervention plans tailored to student needs
• Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff in team meetings and Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
• Track student progress and maintain accurate records per school requirements
• Provide adaptive strategies and recommendations to promote access and engagement in school routines
