This comprehensive OB/GYN role presents an exciting opportunity that combines outpatient care, gynecologic surgery, and inpatient duties, specifically providing support for our maternity unit. Physicians in this position will engage in scheduled shifts and offer backup coverage for labor and delivery, obstetric triage, and urgent gynecological care. This role is essential in delivering extensive women's health services throughout the medical center, ensuring continuity of care for patients across the healthcare system.

The responsibilities encompass a full range of obstetric care, management of both routine and complex gynecological cases, and surgical procedures in both the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center. Our maternity unit benefits from 24/7 in-house anesthesia and CRNA support, a significant advantage not commonly found in many community hospitals. Additionally, gynecologic oncology services are accessible through our collaboration with a leading medical institution.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive prenatal care, conduct well-woman examinations, provide contraceptive and preconception counseling, and manage high-risk pregnancies with maternal-fetal medicine support as necessary.

  • Administer gynecological care, including annual exams, assessment and treatment of menstrual and menopausal issues, contraceptive management, and minor in-office procedures.

  • Oversee full-scope coverage for the maternity unit, including the management of laboring patients and urgent obstetric and gynecological situations.

  • Perform gynecologic surgeries in both the Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center.

  • Collaborate with nurses, midwives, medical students, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

  • Engage in labor and delivery protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing efforts to uphold high standards of patient-centered care.

  • Work within a system that provides 24/7 full midwifery coverage in the maternity unit.

Qualifications
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR is preferred.

  • Open to recent graduates or those new to the field.

  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to evidence-based practices.

  • Exceptional communication abilities and the capacity to excel in a fast-paced clinical setting.
