Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a school-based occupational therapist for the upcoming academic year. This position begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 24, 2027, offering a part-time schedule of 22.5 hours per week. Collaborate with educational teams to help students achieve their highest potential and participate fully in school life.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents in an educational or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and school-based documentation
- Familiarity with evidence-based interventions for students in K-12 environments
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administration
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ strengths and needs within the school setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized occupational therapy plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students of varying ages and abilities
- Provide staff and caregiver education on techniques to promote classroom participation and independence
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with district and legal standards
- Adapt activities and learning environments to foster student engagement and success
