Commercial Coordinator The Commercial Coordinator serves as a central point of coordination between sales, engineering, operations, marketing, and customers to ensure commercial opportunities progress smoothly from initial inquiry through order execution. This role acts as the "glue" that keeps projects, customer communications, and internal processes aligned while supporting business development initiatives, sales operations, and customer satisfaction. This is a Direct Hire role located in Itasca, IL. Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate commercial activities across sales, engineering, operations, and customer teams to ensure opportunities, projects, and orders move efficiently through each stage of the business process.
  • Maintain and update Salesforce CRM records, track customer opportunities, monitor project status, and ensure accurate documentation throughout the sales cycle.
  • Support outside and inside sales teams by preparing proposals, managing customer documentation, assisting with order administration, and providing sales support as needed.
  • Facilitate communication between sales and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements, quotations, and project specifications are accurately transferred for execution and production planning.
  • Manage the order release process by coordinating the transition of customer purchase orders into engineering and production workflows, ensuring timely project initiation.
  • Organize and coordinate trade shows, industry conferences, customer events, and marketing campaigns while partnering with marketing teams to support lead generation and business development efforts.
  • Track outbound sales activities, assist with prospect follow-up, and support customer outreach initiatives to help generate new business opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, monitor sales metrics, and maintain organized records to provide visibility into project progress, customer activity, and commercial performance.
  • Provide light quotation support, process quote requests, and assist with quotation administration to ensure timely responses to customer inquiries.
  • Serve as a key communication resource for customers and internal stakeholders, helping resolve issues, coordinate priorities, and maintain a high level of customer service.
Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in commercial coordination, sales support, project coordination, customer service, or a related business operations role.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or technical environments is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for trade shows, conferences, and customer-related events.

  • Pay $70k-$80k depending on experience

Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
