Position Summary

The Human Resources Generalist provides full-time, on-site HR support for distribution center operations in Lancaster, TX. This role serves as a visible and responsive HR resource for frontline employees, supervisors, and site leadership in a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.

The HR Generalist supports employee relations, recruiting coordination, onboarding, compliance, attendance and performance documentation, reporting, investigations, and other day-to-day HR activities. Success in this role requires strong follow-through, sound judgment, professional presence, and the ability to independently manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of confidentiality, urgency, and service.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a full-time, on-site HR resource for U.S. Distribution Center employees, contingent workers, supervisors, and site leadership.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support in a high-volume, fast-paced warehouse/distribution environment, including responding to employee questions, escalating issues appropriately, and ensuring timely follow-through.
  • Support employee relations matters, including intake, fact-finding, documentation, investigation support, corrective action preparation, and follow-up with managers and employees.
  • Partner with supervisors and managers to reinforce consistent expectations related to attendance, conduct, performance, safety, training completion, and respectful workplace standards.
  • Support recruiting activities for distribution center roles, including sourcing support, candidate coordination, interview scheduling, agency communication, hiring process tracking, and onboarding readiness.
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientation activities for employees and temporary/contract labor, ensuring completion of required documentation, system access, training assignments, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate HR records, reports, trackers, dashboards, and audit files related to staffing, onboarding, training, compliance, employee relations, and other assigned HR activities.
  • Assist with compliance activities, including required employment checks, training completion follow-up, documentation audits, policy acknowledgments, and other regulatory or company-required processes.
  • Support unemployment claims, employment verifications, job description maintenance, tuition reimbursement processing, and other HR administrative responsibilities as assigned.
  • Work on special projects and site initiatives related to workforce planning, employee engagement, culture, supervisor training, process improvement, and operational readiness.
  • Maintain a professional and executive-ready HR presence at a high-profile site that may host visits from senior company leaders, customers, auditors, or other stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow through on assigned work without frequent reminders or close supervision.
  • Comfortable serving as a visible, approachable HR presence in a busy, in-person operational environment.
  • Strong judgment and discretion when handling confidential, sensitive, or escalated employee matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities, including urgent same-day requests, time-sensitive follow-up, and longer-term projects.
  • Strong employee relations skills, including active listening, documentation, issue spotting, fact-finding, and appropriate escalation.
  • Ability to remain professional, steady, and solutions-oriented when supporting difficult conversations, employee complaints, investigations, or leadership escalations.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to support hourly employees, supervisors, managers, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Strong organizational skills with reliable tracking, documentation, and follow-up habits.
  • Ability to build trust with employees and managers while maintaining appropriate boundaries and consistent application of policy.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate employee records, reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Ability to learn HR systems, recruiting tools, timekeeping processes, reporting tools, and other business systems quickly.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams; strong Excel skills preferred.
