A passionate Special Education Teacher is needed to support grades 9-12 in a dynamic environment close to Derry, NH. This full-time, contract position runs from August 2026 through June 2027 and offers the opportunity to engage with students in an inclusive, collaborative setting.
Enjoy a structured A/B day schedule consisting of four 90-minute blocks, including one daily prep period, and a manageable caseload. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:10 AM to 2:30 PM, aligning with student presence in the building.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience with high school-aged students (grades 9-12)
- Strong skills in developing and managing IEPs
- Expertise in providing specially designed instruction
- Experience conducting academic evaluations
- Competence in data collection and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with families
- Ability to collaborate with faculty and related service providers
Preferred Background:
- Behavior management experience
- Familiarity with transition planning for secondary students
