Job Description
Seeking a compassionate and dedicated nurse for a contract opportunity as either an LPN or RN, supporting a medically fragile student in a school setting from August 24th to September 28th. This position offers the chance to provide essential care and support to one student on a 1:1 basis, ensuring their health and safety throughout the school day. The assignment is located near Holmen, WI.
Key Qualifications:
- Active LPN or RN license in Wisconsin, free of restrictions
- Experience working in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Skilled in supporting medically fragile children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
- Reliable, flexible, and dedicated to maintaining consistent attendance
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to a medically fragile student in the school environment
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and manage any prescribed medical interventions
- Keep accurate health records and comply with privacy standards
- Communicate regularly with guardians, teachers, and other healthcare providers about the student's needs
- Remain adaptable to student attendance; guaranteed hours even if the student is absent
- Support a safe, inclusive, and nurturing educational experience for the student
