Key Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Familiarity with psychological assessments, intervention strategies, and report writing
- Strong understanding of IDEA, Section 504, and special education processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and staff
- Ability to manage a caseload and maintain organized student records
- Previous school-based experience is preferred
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support for students as needed
- Offer consultation and resources to teachers, administrators, and families to foster student achievement and well-being
- Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute to the development of intervention and accommodation plans
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district, state, and federal guidelines
- Support positive school climate initiatives and advocate for students’ social-emotional needs
