Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Gastroenterologist to become a part of our expanding healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess board certification (or be board-eligible) in Gastroenterology and demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and managing disorders related to the gastrointestinal (GI) system, which includes the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver full-time outpatient care.
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including but not limited to colonoscopies, upper endoscopies (EGD), sigmoidoscopies, polypectomies, and capsule endoscopy.
- Provide consultation services to fellow physicians and healthcare providers.
- Educate patients and their families about digestive health, preventive strategies, and available treatment options.
- Ensure accurate and current medical records are maintained in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
- Work three days in the clinic and two days performing procedures.
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine.
- Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology.
- A minimum of three years of experience in the field of gastroenterology.
- For General GI: Board certified/eligible in Gastroenterology with an unrestricted Florida State Medical License or eligibility for licensure.
- For Advanced GI: Board certified/eligible in Gastroenterology with specialized training in EUS and ERCP, along with an unrestricted Florida State Medical License or eligibility for licensure.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in Florida.
- Expertise in endoscopic techniques and management of complex GI conditions.
- Strong commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
