Academic Hospitalist Physician

Location: Multiple UPMC Sites in Pittsburgh, PA

Position Overview

Our organization is on the lookout for Board Eligible or Board-Certified Internal Medicine physicians to enhance our vibrant and expanding academic hospitalist programs at various locations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

In this role, physicians will deliver comprehensive inpatient care, guiding patients from admission to discharge. Responsibilities include conducting thorough histories and physical examinations, formulating and executing evidence-based treatment strategies, and coordinating care to maximize patient outcomes. Hospitalists will focus on improving patient health while effectively managing length of stay through high-quality and efficient medical practices.

Collaboration is key, as physicians will work within a multidisciplinary team that includes fellow hospitalists, Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Residents, and Fellows, promoting a cooperative approach to patient care.

Typical work schedules consist of a 7-on/7-off format with 12-hour shifts, offering both day and night options.
