\n \nWhat you will do
\nThis position will be responsible for the installation of complex integrated security systems including the wiring, equipment, and programming of access control systems, CCTV, digital recorders, network recorders, and intercom systems for clients.
\n \nHow you will do it
\nCapable of installing cables, field equipment & control equipment enclosures in customer locations according to the national electric code, company, and customer guidelines.
\nExperience using electronic test equipment to troubleshoot complicated problems during installation.
\nReads and interprets blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
\nReadjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment, and test for operation.
\nPerforms system checks for proper operation.
\nKnowledge of computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; CCTV and access control systems; media storage.
\nAbility to plan, organize, and prioritize work paying close attention to details.
\nAbility to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, while establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships.
\nAbility to analyze information.
\nCan work unsupervised to complete installation jobs and is self-motivated to complete jobs.
\nCompletes and submits all necessary paperwork related to job assignments.
\nCapable of using hand and power tools to properly mount and secure equipment.
\nFeed cables through access holes, roof spaces, and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets; then position and terminate cables, wires, and strapping.
\nDrill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, and floors.
\nConduct End-user training.
\nAbility to isolate trouble to a customer network, where applicable.
\n \nWhat we look for
\nRequired
\nSignificant background (3+ years’ experience) in Digital & Analog Camera Systems.
\nSignificant background (3+ years’ experience) in Access Control Systems.
\nUnderstanding of the function and design of Security and Fire Alarm Systems.
\nExperience with IP addressable security devices (2+ years).
\nHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
\nMust be computer literate and have advanced TCP/IP networking skills.
\nMust be able to operate a company truck with an acceptable driving record.
\nIs proficient with all aspects of and operation of card access, and CCTV systems.
\n \nPreferred
\nAssociate degree or 2-year technical school program graduate preferred.
\nObtain a Tennessee REAL ID and need to work in government facilities.
\nAn industry-recognized apprentice training program may be substituted for the formal education requirement.

Pay Range: {$18.00 - $28.59} hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
