About the Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Analyst to support cost management, progress measurement, and executive project reporting across large capital projects. This role serves as a key link between project management, engineering, construction, finance, and subcontractors by transforming project data into meaningful insights that support decision-making.
The ideal candidate has experience with project controls, earned value management, cost reporting, forecasting, and dashboard development within EPC, industrial, energy, infrastructure, mining, or heavy construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports, dashboards, KPIs, and management summaries
- Track subcontractor labor hours and validate data against timesheets, daily reports, and weekly reports
- Monitor earned value metrics including BCWS, BCWP, and ACWP
- Calculate and analyze key performance indicators including CPI and SPI
- Maintain project cost reports, cost ledgers, and budget tracking tools
- Support forecasting activities including EAC, ETC, accruals, cash flow forecasts, and S-curve reporting
- Consolidate engineering, procurement, and construction progress into integrated project reporting
- Maintain progress measurement systems and update percent-complete metrics
- Support change management processes including trends, PCNs, variations, and impact assessments
- Reconcile cost, labor, schedule, and progress data across multiple stakeholders
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards using Excel and Power BI
- Coordinate cost and progress reporting with Primavera P6 schedules
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in Project Controls, Cost Control, Project Reporting, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of earned value management and project performance measurement
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data consolidation
- Experience tracking labor hours, productivity, and project costs
- Ability to work with large datasets and reconcile information from multiple sources
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting EPC, industrial, mining, oil & gas, power, or infrastructure projects
- Familiarity with Primavera P6 scheduling software
- Experience with project controls or cost management systems such as EcoSys, ARES Prism, InEight, or SAP
- Power BI dashboard development experience
- Exposure to owner-side project reporting
- AACE certifications such as CCP, PSP, or EVP
