Special Education Teacher / Intervention Specialist – Full-Time
Location: Columbus, OH
ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher / Intervention Specialist for a full-time, onsite opportunity in Columbus, Ohio for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to work with a small elementary caseload in a highly supportive, self-contained classroom environment.
Position Details:
Full-time (6.5 hours per day)
Dates: August 13, 2026 – May 20, 2027
School Hours: 8:40 AM – 3:40 PM
Elementary caseload
High-needs self-contained classroom
Maximum of 6–8 students
Two classroom aides assigned for daily support
Supportive administration and collaborative school team
Responsibilities:
Provide Specializedly Designed Instruction (SDI) tailored to each student's IEP goals
Develop engaging lessons that promote academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of IEP goals and objectives
Collaborate with classroom aides, related service providers, families, and school staff to support student success
Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment for students with high support needs
Requirements:
Active Ohio Intervention Specialist License or Special Education Certification required
Experience working with high-needs or self-contained classrooms preferred
Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
Passion for helping students achieve meaningful academic and personal growth
