Key Qualifications:

• Holds an active Virginia Special Education Teacher certification (Adaptive or General Curriculum)
• Experience with elementary-aged students (K-5th)
• Ability to adjust instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Eagerness to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
• Adapt curriculum and teaching materials to support multiple learning styles
• Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusion and academic success
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in ongoing IEP meetings
• Engage with parents and caregivers to foster positive relationships and reinforce student support
• Manage a caseload of students (caseload size may vary)
• Adapt to both Adaptive and General Curriculum assignments as needed
