Associate Attorney - Workers' Compensation Defense

Position Overview:

A mid-sized insurance defense law firm in Alpharetta is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing Workers' Compensation practice. The attorney will work closely with a dedicated partner and handle a litigation-heavy caseload with opportunities to conduct depositions, mediations, and build strong relationships with insurance carriers and adjusters.

Qualifications

  • Active Georgia Bar License (Required)

  • Strong litigation experience

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills

  • Workers' Compensation experience (Defense strongly preferred)

  • Candidates with backgrounds as a Public Defender, Assistant District Attorney, or Solicitor may also be considered if they have strong litigation experience

  • Outgoing personality with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships

Responsibilities

  • Handle Workers' Compensation litigation matters

  • Conduct depositions and mediations

  • Work directly with a supervising partner

  • Represent insurance carriers, TPAs, and self-insured employers

  • Maintain regular communication with clients and insurance adjusters

  • Manage cases from inception through resolution

  • Deliver excellent client service
