Key Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous school-based experience, particularly with special education (SPED) and behaviorally challenged students, is essential
- Experience supporting K-12 students
- Reliable transportation and willingness to work onsite in an urban setting
- Comfort with behavioral management, educational support, and addressing changing needs—including 1:1 student service, elopement, and toileting/diapering as needed
- Ability to obtain all necessary Pennsylvania clearances
- References that showcase your commitment and capability
- Willingness to participate in a Zoom interview
- Transparent approach regarding district placement
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on educational support and guidance to students with a range of abilities
- Address and adapt to behavioral and changing needs, ensuring students’ safety and academic progress
- Work directly with students in 1:1 and inclusive settings, promoting engagement and participation
- Implement behavior management strategies and support academic plans developed by educational teams
- Communicate effectively with staff, teachers, and families to maximize student success
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
