Qualifications:

  • Active School Psychologist license and certification required by the State of NC
  • Demonstrated experience as a School Psychologist preferred
  • Familiarity with supporting students from multiple backgrounds within school districts
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, administrators, and families
  • Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments for students referred for support services
  • Consult with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to address academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
  • Develop and contribute to effective intervention plans, monitoring student progress as needed
  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and mentoring to students as appropriate
  • Support compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education and psychological services
  • Participate actively in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and offer recommendations for services and accommodations
  • Foster a positive, inclusive school climate by promoting mental health and well-being
