Job Description

This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to positively impact students' lives while collaborating with dedicated educators and school staff. The assignment runs from late August 2026 to early June 2027, supporting schools near Andover, MN (specific site will be determined before the assignment begins).
In this role, you’ll work approximately 15 hours per week during the school day, typically Monday through Friday. While onsite support is preferred, experienced School Social Workers may also be considered, offering some flexibility for the right candidate.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota School Psychologist license (required)
- Previous school-based experience as a School Psychologist or School Social Worker
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Comfort working with diverse student populations and educators
- Excellent communication, organizational, and report-writing abilities
- Collaborative, solution-focused mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students’ educational planning
- Deliver direct intervention and counseling services for students with academic, behavioral, or social/emotional concerns
- Consult with teachers, parents, and other staff to develop and monitor individualized learning or behavioral plans
- Participate in IEP meetings, re-evaluation teams, and pre-referral processes
- Support crisis intervention and prevention efforts across the school community
