Your role will involve conducting orthopedic evaluations and treatments, crafting personalized treatment plans, overseeing specialized therapy services, and providing education to patients, families, students, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations and document findings accurately and promptly.
- Engage in performance improvement initiatives and student programs.
- Maintain adherence to professional standards, state regulations, and organizational policies.
- Focus on patient and employee safety, including safe patient handling and infection control.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA-accredited program.
- Active Physical Therapy license in New Jersey is required to commence the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be necessary.
- Preferred experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.
- Ability to conduct 60-minute evaluations and treatment sessions.
- Familiarity with documentation, goal setting, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry in line with state and federal regulations.
- Proven skills in safe patient handling and infection control practices.
- Experience in supervising students and engaging in clinical education.
- Prior experience in travel or contract therapy roles is advantageous.
- Background in performance improvement projects and clinical documentation systems.
- Schedule: 5 days a week, 8 hours per day.
- Flexible 40-hour work week with 1–2 evenings until 7 PM as required.
- Focus on an orthopedic patient demographic.
- Potential to float to other local facilities as needed.
