Position Overview:
A community-based academic health system in Illinois is seeking a Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join a growing team. This is a general pediatric orthopedics role with a strong emphasis on trauma and the opportunity to build subspecialty interests within a supportive academic environment.
Practice Details:
- General Pediatric Orthopedics + Trauma focus
- 2 Clinic Days, 2 OR Days per week
- 3-6 surgeries per week (trauma + elective)
- Established referral network with strong case volume
Academic Affiliation:
- Teaching opportunities with Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program
- Work with medical students and residents daily
- Research opportunities with dedicated support staff and infrastructure
- Flexible academic expectations (no "publish or perish" model)
Compensation & Benefits:
- 400,000+ Base Salary (academic component, based on experience)

Candidate Requirements:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
- Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Orthopedics
