Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a dedicated Physical Therapist in a school-based setting. This full-time, itinerant position spans multiple school sites and offers a dynamic schedule within a collaborative educational environment. You’ll provide essential services for students with diverse needs, working closely with educators and families to help each student reach their full potential. The assignment begins August 24, 2026, and covers an anticipated duration of six to nine months.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapist licensure for school-based practice (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Prior experience in schools or with K-12 populations preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and ability to implement student-specific plans
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility and resourcefulness to serve a multi-site caseload
  • Commitment to supporting students’ mobility, function, and access to education

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative physical therapy services for students in alignment with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Travel between school sites in Deer River, Coleraine, Nashwauk, Floodwood, Hill City, and Remer
  • Provide written reports and thorough documentation of student progress
  • Collaborate effectively with special education teams, teachers, and families
  • Adapt therapy techniques and supports to ensure student inclusion and participation in school routines
  • Caseload includes approximately 63 K-12 students
