What you'll bring:

  • Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution
  • A minimum of three years of occupational therapy experience, including at least three years within a school setting
  • Active state license to practice as an occupational therapist, and registration with the Illinois Department of Financial Professional Regulations (IDFPR)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple campuses
  • Experience serving diverse student populations in grades K-8

Your key responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students across two to three campuses in Lake County, developing treatment strategies tailored to individual needs
  • Assess students’ abilities and create intervention plans in alignment with educational goals
  • Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and other school professionals to integrate therapy into the academic setting
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Stay current with best practices and emerging trends in school-based occupational therapy
