Step into a rewarding contract role supporting elementary students as an Occupational Therapist in a vibrant school environment near Hudson, NY. This full-time opportunity spans the entire academic year, running September 2 through June 24, with working hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM daily. You'll begin with an opening meeting day before welcoming students on September 3rd.

Your central focus will be providing essential occupational therapy services to both MTSS and general education students, managing a manageable caseload of eight sessions per day. Collaboration is key, as you’ll share a welcoming therapy space with a Physical Therapist, offering opportunities for teamwork and integrated care.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state
  • Previous experience in school-based OT settings preferred
  • Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and general education student needs
  • Comfort working as part of a multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and time management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students based on IEPs or MTSS referrals
  • Conduct thorough assessments and maintain documentation in accordance with school and district policies
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and other school staff to support student progress
  • Share a therapy space professionally with a Physical Therapist
  • Participate in meetings, including the initial staff meeting on September 2
  • Provide input for student progress reviews throughout the school year
