Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting middle and high school students from August 18, 2026, through May 28, 2027. This full-time role focuses on delivering meaningful instruction and individualized support to approximately 12-16 students, primarily in a resource room model. The caseload spans both middle and high school, with a couple of students requiring increased support who are partnered with dedicated one-to-one paraprofessionals.
Responsibilities include implementing individualized education plans, tracking student progress, delivering personalized instruction, and collaborating with general education staff and support personnel. You’ll have the chance to make a measurable difference—most students will benefit from the supportive environment of the resource room, while a few with higher-level needs will have direct para support to help ensure successful outcomes. Participating in IEP meetings and ongoing communication with families and team members will be central to your role.
Qualifications:
- Valid Montana Special Educator Certification
- Previous experience in a resource room or special education setting is a plus
- Ability to engage and motivate students at the middle and high school levels
- Strong organizational and communication skills
