Job Description

Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification for the state of Georgia
- Prior experience working with high school students is preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Enthusiasm for individualized instruction and inclusive practices
- Ability to manage a dynamic classroom and maintain detailed student records
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to a high school caseload, adjusting curriculum and strategies to support diverse learning needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
- Track student progress and provide regular reporting
- Engage in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing training related to special education best practices
- Foster a welcoming, positive learning atmosphere that promotes student growth and confidence
Details:
- Contract position beginning August 3, 2026 through May 27, 2027
- Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
- Pay rate of $38 per hour
- Serve a defined high school caseload (specific student numbers to be shared during the interview process)
