Maintenance Lead

The Maintenance Lead is responsible for daily and preventative maintenance to cover the needs of facilitating root cause of machine shutdowns. Oversee Maintenance Technician. This includes the need to support operations during high demand times to ensure the success of the business.

JOB DUTIES

• Identify and record root causes to machine shutdowns to minimize down time
\n
• Facilitates the safe use of an oxylance to clear metal jams
\n
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels
\n
• Verify the implementation of solutions
\n
• Works with plant management to plan periodic maintenance and ensure correct parts are ordered for all equipment
\n
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment as needed (Includes Facility, Mechanical, and heavy machinery)
\n
• Clean areas of accumulation and sweep floor areas with forklift
\n
• Serve as needed for facility and functional support / Operate forklift for daily operation needs when short staffed
\n
• Perform other duties as assigned
\n
• Comply with all company policies and procedures
\n
• Identify safety hazards in the workplace
\n
• Possess a fundamental knowledge of plant equipment, troubleshooting & how to repair if necessary – including but not limited to pneumatics, hydraulics, machining, fabricating, and welding
\n
• Audit Switch gear panels for error codes causing disruption to production
\n
• Perform basic electrical wiring
\n
• Be an effective communicator
\n
• Must comply with all Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures
\n
• Safety (OSHA) experience required
\n

REQUIREMENTS

\n
• High School Graduate or equivalent
\n
• 3-5 years’ experience of maintenance background
\n
• Must be willing to work flexible hours/shifts to support business needs (may include occasional weekends or holidays)
\n
• Experience with basic welding preferred
\n
• Experience with heavy equipment (forklift, front loader, etc.)
\n
• Extensive hand/ power tool experience preferred
\n
• Basic math, reading comprehension and writing skills
\n
• Work long hours doing repetitive motions in any weather
\n
• Dependable
\n
• Manages time effectively
\n
• Must be willing to help in other departments as needed
\n
• Ability to work independently or as a team
\n
• Must pass background check and drug screening
\n
