Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Severe Disabilities teaching license (required)
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with significant needs
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Prior experience working with elementary students (1st and 2nd grade preferred)
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt instruction and materials to meet diverse learning needs
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction for students in a substantially separate classroom setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals in close collaboration with families and school staff
- Utilize evidence-based strategies to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress, accommodations, and modifications
- Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment that encourages growth and participation
- Communicate effectively with parents, therapists, and other team members
