Job Description
Step into a meaningful role supporting students’ communication and academic growth as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic high school setting. As a long-term substitute, you will play a pivotal part in students’ success from September 13, 2026, through February 5, 2027. This full-time contract role focuses on one dedicated school site, allowing you to build rapport with the staff and provide consistent services to a diverse group of high schoolers.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid SLP license or eligibility to practice in Massachusetts.
- Experience with secondary-level students preferred; new graduates with school-based practicum also welcome.
- Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and progress tracking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive practices.
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language services to a high school caseload, both individually and in small groups.
- Conduct thorough evaluations and re-evaluations as part of the IEP process.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students’ individual needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to address articulation, language, social communication, and fluency issues.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams.
