General Information/Job Summary

Must be able to interpret blueprints and collaborate with other team members on the job to ensure a mutual understanding of project scope and responsibilities. Be able to measure, cut, and grind metal to specifications, checking that it matches detailed drawings.

Responsibilities/Competencies

\n
• Read and understand blueprints and project layout.
\n
• Measure and cut metal parts to exact specifications.
\n
• Install or fabricate metal pieces into columns, girders, or other structural frameworks.
\n
• Repair or replace existing steel parts of buildings and other structures.
\n
• Clean and maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good condition.
\n
• Adhere to and follow all safety precautions and protocols.
\n

Requirements

\n
• Four (4) years of experience in work involving a variety of layout, and installation.
\n
• Possess a valid drivers’ license with a good driving.
\n
• Knowledge of how to handle metal properly.
\n
• Proficient in industry tools and equipment, such as hand and power tools.
\n
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
\n

• Ability to see things clearly that are beyond arm’s reach (far visual acuity)

• Ability to see small

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to maintain balance on catwalks and narrow work
\n
• Ability to stand for extended periods of
\n
• Ability to reach above head while sitting or standing.
\n
• Ability to reach below knees while
\n
• Ability to stoop or kneel.
\n
• Ability to work 50 or more hours each
\n
